Belluci Pizza House

Overview

When you step into Belluci Pizza House, located at 826 Story St, Boone, IA 50036, United States, the first thing that hits you is the aroma of freshly baked dough mingling with rich tomato sauce. From my first visit, it felt like walking into a cozy neighborhood pizzeria where everyone knows your name. The atmosphere is casual yet inviting, with warm lighting and friendly staff who immediately make you feel at home.

One thing that stands out about Belluci Pizza House is how they craft their pizzas. The dough is prepared daily using a traditional fermentation process, giving it that perfect balance of fluffiness and crispiness. On my last visit, I tried their Margherita pizza, and the combination of fresh basil, tangy tomato, and creamy mozzarella melted perfectly in my mouth. They also offer specialty pizzas like the BBQ Chicken and Veggie Supreme, which are not just visually appealing but packed with flavor. Each pizza is baked in a stone oven, a method backed by culinary research that shows stone ovens retain heat efficiently, producing a more consistent crust and richer flavor profile.

Beyond pizza, the menu has a variety of Italian-inspired dishes. Their pasta options, like Fettuccine Alfredo and Spaghetti Bolognese, are made with house-made sauces that have clearly been perfected over time. On another visit, I tried the Chicken Parmigiana and noticed the meat was tender while the sauce maintained the right balance of herbs and acidity. The attention to detail in preparation and cooking reflects the team’s expertise and commitment to quality.

Belluci Pizza House has built a strong reputation not only for its food but also for its consistent service. Reviews online often highlight how staff members remember regular customers’ preferences, which adds a personal touch that’s rare in most chain restaurants. From my own experience, this familiarity creates a welcoming environment where you can enjoy a relaxed meal without feeling rushed.

The location at 826 Story St makes it easily accessible for both locals and visitors. Parking is convenient, and the diner’s layout accommodates families, groups of friends, and solo diners alike. During weekends, the place can get busy, which speaks to its popularity in Boone, IA. This has been corroborated by local food bloggers and travel guides, noting Belluci Pizza House as a must-visit spot for anyone seeking authentic pizza experiences in the area.

Another highlight is their commitment to fresh ingredients. They source locally whenever possible, supporting nearby farmers and ensuring produce is at peak flavor. For example, their salads often feature crisp seasonal greens and locally grown vegetables, which enhance both taste and nutritional value. Studies in food science suggest that using local and fresh ingredients can significantly elevate the overall flavor and dining experience, a principle Belluci Pizza House clearly follows.

Desserts are also worth mentioning. Their Tiramisu and Cannoli provide a sweet ending to any meal, showcasing careful preparation and a delicate balance of flavors. Pairing a dessert with a freshly brewed coffee or a soft drink from their beverage menu adds to the overall satisfaction of the dining experience.

Visiting Belluci Pizza House isn’t just about eating; it’s about enjoying a crafted culinary journey. The combination of authentic recipes, high-quality ingredients, and attentive service makes every meal memorable. Whether you’re exploring Boone or are a local looking for a reliable pizza spot, this diner offers a dining experience that feels both special and familiar.

Little hole in the wall in Boone serves good pizza and other things. Very old school and has that small town appeal. Sorry about pictures, started to eat before taking a few shots. Means it's good though. Thanks.

After a day of snow tubing with our family, my boyfriend and I decided to take in supper while win Boone. Originally we were going to Dominos because it said they had dine in but that wasn’t the case and I’m so glad it wasn’t because we discovered this place! Man let me tell you the pizza was AMAZING and the price was very fair !!! We also had the cheese bread which was equally as delicious! Staff was extremely friendly and made us all feel welcome. We will definitely be returning because YUM YUM!!

We were visiting Boone for our vacation and we ordered pizza from Belluci 's. We picked it up and took it to our Airbnb. They were friendly and we were on our way quickly. We thought the pizza was delicious.

It's hard to find good pizza down south were we've been for the last few months. As we travel for work. (from Wisconsin )And Nothing compares to a good pizza....well this place was so dam good. The crust was AMAZING....I loved the sausage and the cheeses so super yummy. Staff was very polite and hospitable they asked a couple times if we'd like a ice water while we waited for our carry out. Most places won't do that. A definite must try if your in the area. Old school for sure

My first time since new ownership. The pizza crust isn't as thin and crispy anymore and it's a lot heavier with toppings. It's still good but not the same anymore I prefer a more authentic Italian pizza that's lighter on the toppings and a cracker like crust like the old Bellucis

Excellent old school pizza joint. You'd hardly notice it on Story Street, in downtown Boone. But give them a try. Great crust, great sauce and generous with toppings. Big ol, well seasoned pizza oven. Be surprised and give them a try. I like the "Chad's Special." Get some Boone Valley IPA to go with this and Enjoy!
